I've been trying to fix it. Meanwhile, see www.snee.com/sneetard.
Marmaduke explained. Lest there be any doubt.
Getting caught up on WFMU's Beware of the Blog, I have many new things to post here, starting off with Paul McCartney and Marie Osmond's artsier experimental work.
McCartney: the Percy Thrillington album uses the Swingle Singers and Herbie Flowers (of both basses in "Walk on the Wild Side" fame) who is apparently interviewed for the book "The Unknown Paul McCartney: McCartney and the Avant Garde."
There is no book titled "The Unknown Marie Osmond: Osmond and the Avant Garde," and this story about her reading a Hugo Ball sound poem while co-hosting a show with Jack Palance is just too weird. Too weird as in, I assumed that it was a joke, like The Velvet Underground on Lawrence Welk, but web searches turn up stories like this that lead me to believe that it's true.
This entry includes two empty a elements with a rel value of "tag directory". One has an href value of "http://technorati.com/blogs/zamfir3" and is written as a start- and end-tags with nothing between them, and the other has an href value of "http://technorati.com/blogs/zamfir4" and is written as a single empty tag. I'm confident that the first will show up in Technorati's tag directory, but I'm doing this to test the second.
Update: both work, but the fact that this is underlined means that something somewhere isn't recognizing the slash at the end of the zamfir4 single-element empty a tag, so it thinks that text after it is a link anchor, which is lame. I'll include the separate end tag from now on.
More blogs about zamfir1.
Empty tag element like that, tagged as zamfir2: []. End of test.
Later: cool, that worked. Technorati searches on zamfir1 and zamfir2 both work. A search on potrzebie still doesn't work, so I assume that picking a particular category for your Movable Type entry doesn't add that name as searchable metadata in Technorati.
I've configured this to ping technorati and a few other blog search engines when a new entry gets posted. I want to see if the category assigned to this shows up when I search technorati by tag.
