Very interesting interview on FMU's blog, with sound clips. One is introduced with the phrase "I'm sure Kraftwerk aren't proud."
Two other nice quotes, from a guy who's been there:
If you took the worst genre in the history of contemporary American music (funk-disco -- narrowly edging out big-pants trance for sheer lack of imagination) and paid a group of mustachioed degenerates sixty bucks apiece to "jam" for a couple of hours so you could give your badly-lit, badly-shot, ill-conceived, glorified stag film the non-diegetic musical punch it didn't need in the first place, you'd end up with typical 70's porn music. And yes, that's exactly what happened.
and
80's porn music is solitary. The advent of the analog synth meant that one lonely loser could score your whole movie for you, and guess what: that's precisely what happened.
Here's a trailer for Prélude au sommeil (Prelude to Sleep), a new documentary about pioneering electronic musician Jean-Jacques Perrey. The film features appearances from Gershon Kingsley, Angelo Badalamenti, Michel Gondry, Air, and other contemporaries of Perrey and artists influenced by him. The film's director, Gilles Weinzaepflen, points us to a VOD site where you can view the full film in French or with English subtitles. Prélude au sommeil

A marketing friend of mine registered this early and has 58k+ followers. It's usually predictable stuff so as not to be obvious it's fake. But occasionally there's a Pink Floyd quote or a reference to an 1800's French philosopher he'll find on Wikipedia.
I Prefer Your Earlier Work is obviously an overly hip blog (late Godard! Very late Orson Welles!) but how's this for a banner image:
Link's brother. "Link is all over the album playing guitars, dobro, mandolin etc." web page lets you download it.
